(2+i) / (3+i)

The trick: Multiply by (3 - i)/(3 - i) to have subtracting squares in the denominator.
(2+i) / (3+i) * (3 - i)/(3 - i)
numerator: (2 + i)(3 - i) = 6 + 3i - 2i - i^2 = 6 + i -(-1) = 7 + i
denominator: (3+i)(3 - i) = 3^2 - i^2 = 9 - (-1) = 10

Answer: (7+i) / 10 (D)
