Passion of the Christ. It really showed me how Jesus suffered. It really made it come alive.

I would say that there are (3) films that made a difference in my life. The first is Schindler's List. It shows the best and the worst of ordinary people in extraordinary real life & tragic circumstances. The second would definitely be Gregory Peck's performance in To Kill A Mockingbird...simply because that is the kind of person I aspire to
be. The third would be When Harry Met Sally...mostly because it showed me that I wasn't the only person in the world that was inept at connecting and judging relationships and that it can all work out...very different from the other two - I know.

Un Chien Andalou, by Salvador Dali and Luis Bunuel. It was made in 1929, a year older then my grandmother. It's an expresionist piece about human sexuality and discovery. You gotta watch it a couple times to really get it, but your life will change after seeing it. It's only 45 minutes long.

"The Manchurian Candidate". The early 60's original, not the remake. You know at the end of a movie in a theater, the crowd talks amongst itself. It's a low murmer usually. After this movie, there wasn't a sound. The theater was packed too. All I could say to my buddy was "wow". And that was almost five minutes after we got out. I love the film. I highly recommend it. Probably Sinatra's best acting.

The Passion of the Christ was a pretty powerful film for me because it showed the life and death of Jesus Christ but I also liked A Beautiful Mind. It showed me the power of human thought and how you can overcome so much to achieve greatness no matter what.

Fight Club, Hands Down. It is all about the options that everyone truly has. It's about embracing true natural freedom, the kind that everyone has put in the back of their mind. And lashing out against the same society that had been oppressing everyone. Great Great Movie.

There's been a few but one I just saw recently was "North Country" with Charlize Theron. Inspired by a true story. I thought it to be very well done and powerful.

The Pianist and Flags of Our Fathers, because both show how much beating the human spirit can endure, and how hope is a thing in all of us.
