I've let a variety of different spiders bite me but as of yet I haven't developed any "spiderman" style superpowers. Any tips on how I could go about this? E.g. Let a particular breed of this arachnid bite me?

Great question hehe.

I have a lab where we are about to begin radical spider-human DNA fusion.

We take the web making ability of one of the smartest spiders in existance, together with its strength, and fuse it in to a human. We just need one special volunteer who wants the wonderful gifts we can bestow on them as a result of this experiment. email me.

Brown Recluse or fiddleback spiders.

Let a few of them bite you on the head. You'll end up 'special' all right.

Besides in the original comic the spider was radioactive so unless you've been blasting them with gamma rays you cant expect it to work - or if you want to go for the more modern (though not much more plausible) method of using a genetically modified spider then that might do something... possible - if the genetic modifications had been caused by a retrovirus.

I heard that if you are bitten by this spider called the Arachnid Spider you can turn into spiderman, but only after it has been injected with nuclear waste and kept in a dark tube with food and water for twenty years. Then you're supposed to climb Mt. Everst and release onto your face where it will bite you because it is insane and then you will turn into spiderman. Good luck! XD

There's only one spider known to give spider powers. That is the Brazilian Wandering Spider. The powers that it gives to you depends on where it bite's you for example if you want a large penis let it bite you there.

you need radiation
all these comic books were done in the early days of the atomic bomb, and "radiation", as it was understood.
Hence, a simple spider bite, but one thats been near a radio active accident.........hence super whatever transfered powers of whatever bit you, subjected to radiation.
Interesting social history. In the post madame Currie days, there was even a radio active tooth paste! Now, we know better...radio active spiders, dont bite you, transfering super powers, they just die from cancer, quickly.

You need to have about a dozen brown recluse bite you all at once, then have a few blackwidows bite you. If you are spidermanmaterial you will change. If you are a loser poser, the bites will kill you. Either way your search will be over.

you should try a brown recluse, or a black widow, or maybe a hobo spider....
If you live then you can say you are a super person, although many people typically survive these bites anyways, I just think that it would be fun for you to try........
