Personally, I hated that book. It is about humanism. Humanism is the belief that humans essentially create their own gods, and religion to control societal anarchy. SO, in this book...the kids (because of a lack of rules and adult role models) essentially form a society that suits them...in which the "survival of the fittest" is the way to be....
