Political correctness gone mad.

All races, sexual preferences,
ethnic groups, physical types, etc, are now a minority. We can not offend or hurt any Else's feelings. We being white people of European backgrounds are the only ones who are not a minority.

Thus these minority group comedians including white women, can use offensive language with the one exception, the white male comedian. Dave Chapelle and Carlos Mencina are the greatest and tell it like it is. But if Jeff Foxworthy or the Cable Guy tries using the same humor..........it would not be tolerated.

The politicians also reinforce this correctness by appealing to voters as minority groups. Divide and conquer.

I have seen other comedians make fun of blacks...I agree with the person who said they do it subtlely, so they can get away with it. The blacks comedians are more open in advance about their topic.

I totally disagree with what you are saying. Yes Dave Chappelle does make fun of all races, just as well as blacks. But what I like about him is that he's open about it. He did a show on stereotypes...it's what everybody's already thinking, and stereotypes have been put out there. I like that he tried to take away the seriousness of stereotypes...He even had an open discussion with the audience (There was a mixed crowd-different races) and everyone voiced their opinion. He showed sterotypes in his skit of whites, blacks, and Spanish.

And for the man who said that black people play a race card, anyone who has been wronged in the past...everything should be done so that racism never rears it's ugly face as it has in the past upon blacks, whites, or any race. The Jews were also persecuted, it's not a fact of crying about the past. It's the reality that the past is reality, what was done was done...People who have been persecuted have every right to make sure they never suffer persecution again.

It's not as blunt as you think it is. Robin Williams and George Carlin make fun of all races and genders, but the reason they get away with it is the way they present the joke. Same with black comedians. Another good example is Carlos Mencia (sp?.) Comedy is all about the way you pitch the info, as well as the audiences perspective of you.

Hint: If you start off with the racist stuff, your perspective looks horrible. You subtle slide it in, and you don't dwell on it like comedians use to do in the 80s. Keep jumping when/if you do racist stuff.

Black people can make fun of other races because they've actually been through some SH** unlike everyone else, some white people use the ****** word in a different way then different races, when people can honestly say they done been through what blacks went through then, they've earned the right to make jokes.

Yes it is. Society has dictated that a Black individual is permanently absolved from any accusation of racism simply because some one at some time in their families distant past may have experienced racism.
Therefore simply due to their ancestoral legacy they have license to be as filthy as they wish with no reprecussions. They have a lifetime membership in "The Race Card Club" Don't leave home without it.

Yes, double standard but for many years the black people were the subjects of gross comedic abuse so now it's the turn around.

'Comedians are like everybody else they also have freedom of speech. choose how and when you use your freedom of speech so you don't offend anyone. If you chose to use derogatory words then don't aim them at the race you are talking about that's what get them all mad. the jokes are fine but not aim directly at people.

Double standards are all around us.
Like how at colleges there are organizations for African-American students, but if they did that for white students, you can bet that people would be all over that group for being "racist".

I'd say most comics can use racial (not only black) jokes and be okay, it depends on the presentation and audience's makeup. You wouldn't want to be a white man telling black or jewish jokes to a house of blacks and or jewish people.

I believe that they have earned the right to do so. Their race was trated so cruely fo so many years, and now they have the right to do what they please. The white race, on the other hand, has the feeling that they rule the world when they are clearly in the wrong.
