Better that the misgifted item make someone happy than rot in a drawer or closet.
Rules of engagement:
1. The regifting must be ENTIRELY out of the circle of friends/relatives of the original gifter. They can't ever know.
2. For goodness' sake, REMOVE ALL TAGS and other identifying data.
3. Don't lie and say you bought it somewhere for $X, etc.
4. If anyone isn't happy with their Corvette and wants to regift it to me, I'll work with them on a case by case basis.

I think it's fine to regift, however make sure that the person your regifting too isn't related to or know the person whom gave you the gift in the first place. It's better to regift than keep something that you personally can't use or don't want.

I don't see a problem with regifting, because at times you can't take it back to the store and if you don't like it you don't have to have it taking up space, plus you may know someone that will actually like it. In summary, go for it!

Regifting is fine as long as you use those gifts for chinese auctions, occasions where you are asked to bring a same sex gift for a gift exchange, or when you know someone who would absolutely love a gift you got. Be careful not to regift to the person who gave it to you.

I haven't done any regifting and I have no problem with it. If it's simply going to gather dust in a corner, you might as well give it to someone that might actually have a use for it.

Unless the item(s) in this case were used or slightly used, theres no problem in regifting otherwise it would be a waste. on my part I would rather give it away but... whatever floats your boat.

I agree as long as the packaging and item is in good condition. My ex-husband once gave my daughter my old electric carving knife, but didn't look in the box. It wasn't clean and a piece was missing. Merry Christmas to her, right?
But if it is something good that someone else will enjoy more than you, it only makes sense to pass it along.

Yes I agree completely. it is fine it is the thought that counts right. Plus as long as it is not to the person who gave it to you know one will ever know as if you don't act guilty of anything or something like that!!!! Happy holidays and Merry Christmas

I don't think that there is anything wrong with passing on something you received before that you didn't use,It is better for it to go to someone that might use it.Just don't give it back to the person who gave it to you.
