I wouldn't let him do anything he wasn't happy doing, if he didn't like doing this then that would be his decision. But thanks for the concern.

Acting is great for kids, they are natural stars; they learn confidence and self-presentation and have a great time. There are lots of excellent acting companies / schools for kids. If there aren't any in your area, start one!

Young kids usually are way more into fun than money, so I would recommend an organisation that focuses on that side of it, and on building solid acting skills.

If you live in NY LA or CHI you can get him into some kids classes
and they can help you find him an agent. If you don't BEWARE!
There are lots of places that say they are agencies that are not.
If they want money for ANYTHING they are not an agency. Remember this, real agents and casting people have an over abundance of people trying to get their foot in the door. They don't hire talent scouts! No such thing. If someone stops you at the mall tells you they're a talent scout and they can get your kid into acting, poke them in the eyes for me. Next month at the hotel where I work they're holding the annual convention for these types. I see literally thousands of kids and their parents who got robbed every year and it makes me sick. And there's nothing they can do about it because it's not illegal. If you don't live in a showbiz epicenter forget it. You can have him do little bits for the camera at home and he'll love it just the same.

I work in kids advertising in New York City. You need to get an agent who will send your son on casting calls. Here is a short list of NYC agents you can call to ask what the procedure is: Abrams Artists, Don Buchwald, Valerie Morris, CESD, John Robert Powers, William Morris. Good luck!

Loving the camera is totally different than the real world
WORK involved in kid modeling (& so many hate their parents in a short amount of time because meeting the commercial worlds work demands is NOT fun)
But if you are willing to risk your kids real happy fun with the camera . . .
