If we had it to do over again, we wouldn't be there, or at least not as we're doing things now. I think most people admit this. But what I don't understand is why the libs act as though they saw the whole thing coming.

What did they see, really? If the US were being invaded, I think the libs would put up some strong points about why we should allow ourselves to be taken over by a foreign invader. Maybe we deserved it or something. Why claim credit for that attitude?

Democrats weren't in favor of this war from the beginning, and those who were had been convinced (by the government) that Iraq actually posed a threat to us. Even I thought that we were doing the right thing until I found out that the country was no threat to us.

Liberals and Democrats don't just try to avoid wars because we feel like it. If there were an actual threat to our country or the well-being of the world, we would get involved immediately. The reason that liberals act like they always knew that this war was a bad idea is to draw support from those who are against the war (which seems to be working).

Most liberals do not act like this, but the politicians are trying to serve their own best interests. Most of us aren't really that cocky and sure of ourselves, we just want to find some way to solve the problem. It just seems like that because all you ever hear on TV is some politician going on about how he alone knew all along and we should vote for him because of it.

Don't hold all liberals accountable for the attitudes of some of our representatives.

I saw the whole thing coming. I had a gut feeling that this invasion would turn into a disaster. I hoped I was wrong, I hoped in spite of everything that we would find WMD, and the Iraqis would welcome us, but I had a feeling that would never happen. It didn't. How DARE you say that I didn't see this coming.

All the libs I know argued that we SHOULD go after anyone who invaded us - but could not understand why we attacked Iraq after we were attacked by Saudis who had been funded by people living in Afghanistan.

A lot of us libs claim wisdom because we were wise and we were weeping when we saw what was done to our country.

Ok, us "libs" would not put up strong points on why we should be invaded and taken over by anyone. We do not wish for an attack on our soil. In fact, we were in agreement that we should have gone over to Afghanistan in order to stop Bin Laden, who attacked us first. However, we do not agree with attacking another country who was NOT a threat to us and claim it is because of WMDs when there was clearly none there. Also, the BS being sent around that it was for the "good of the people" and to "bring democracy" is just that BS. Why are we not trying to help Darfur? hmmm... maybe it is because it is not about weapons and security but about oil, money and power. That is the attitude us liberals are taking credit for.

it really pains me to say this but I told you so. we take credit for it because we warned you. i thought it was dumb to begin with. first because we had an idiot leading us. in the wrong direction. did you not wonder why we were looking for weapons of mass destruction instead of the people who attacked us. and what about bush changing his story about why we were at war like 50 times. every time he couldn't find what he was looking for at the time it became something else he was looking for. and people sill beleived in him. no im not a pussy liberal. from day one i thought we should have done something about the attacks. but it should have been sending a sniper to shoot bin laden between the eyes. not sending the entire country to commit mass suicide.
