It is definitely a fairly good song. It fits this movie because it is supposed to be the introduction of James Bond. This is because it is the first novel, Casino Royale, written by Ian Fleming. So it is when James Bond became 00-Status.

I agree. It is Probably the best James Bond theme song. Oh and if anybody noticed in the chorus line "the coldest blood runs through my veins you know my name" it uses the same melody from the original james bond song in a different key, its kind of hard to notice but it is still there. And look at the Die another Day song. Chough Cough Crap Cough. Hmm did I say something, well anyway I did kind of miss the original Bond theme but this was a pretty good song, in Fact Im listening to it right now. And I also agree about how it portrays bond as not being a completely perfect human being but it shows how he is flawed.

I agree, I think I liked this one more than any of the Brosnan era songs. I also think it really had the "feel" of a Bond song... I never felt that the Brosnan songs had the feel of the great themes from Connery and Moore. Last recent theme I liked until now was Living Daylights.

I think it captures the tone of the film and James Bond's character well.
Incidentally, I loved Casino Royale, primarily because it portrays Bond as the ruthless, flawed yet able man that Fleming intended. Not like the posh twit Roger Moore portrayed.

It's the best recent one....but it's not catchy or show Tunney like "goldfinger" It's still good and invokes excitement....people are moaning about that song and the crappy animated titles (which aren't the best to be fair) but it all works with in the contour of the film itself.....

Yeah, I thought it was a great song and set the scene well for the rest of the film. A 'harder' song for a 'harder' Bond.

PS Thanks for the extra info gabrielbeware.
