This year, my family doesn't have a van, and we can't have a Christmas tree. I'm only 12, and I still really want a tree, but when I ask my dad, he says he is too buisy, and if you really wanted one, you should go pick it out, and strap it car. Have any of you had a Christmas - treeless Christmases? How was it like? What age were you? What are your opinions? He doesn't want a fake tree either still too much hassle, his work is very demanding, but as a result, we are well - offish

One year I couldn't afford a tree, even a fake one. So I layered boxes (small) and books under a sheet, and made a waterfall of presents.

My daughter was about 6 then...she still remembers it as the 'waterfall Christmas" It's one of her favorite memories of then....

Don't worry about it too much. When I was like 13 we had a tree but it was a pitiful little thing that you set up on the table. I still had a good Christmas though because it's not about the tree or the presents really. It's more about being with people you love.

I'm 12 and we haven't had a Christmas tree in years. The first time I came home after school to find we had no tree, I felt it was like the end of the world. Now I'm used to it 'cause I grew up that way, but I still enjoy going to my uncle's house on Christmas Day to sit under his tree and open gifts. It really brings back memories, y'know.

That's sad to know. But don't fret! Things will be fine, Christmas is still Christmas without a tree! Remember what Christmas is all about: Love, caring, sharing with others, and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

Merry Chirtsmas!

I have gone without a tree before. When we lived in Arizona we used a Tumble Weed for a tree once. It was fun being something different. Also, you can get a Rosemary/Sage type bush, they shape them like a tree. They not very big, but, I have used them and then plant in the yard after Christmas. Maybe try to be creative and try something different, it can be fun, but, make it special too. Take pictures to show people many years later.

As an adult I've not had Christmas trees. But not as a kid. Really, though, Christmas is about the spirit. If your family doesn't end up getting one, you may be disappointed, but it's OK. Sing carols. Make cookies. Remember all the people you love. You could even collect pine branches and put them into a vase to make something festive...although it's not a Christmas tree.

I have never gone without a tree. When I moved out of my parents house, I got a small tree (13 inches), at the dollar store, and put it on my table. I made decorations for it out of plastic canvas and yarn. Also I took some card board and cut it into different shapes and took some old Christmas wrapping paper and wrapped up the cardboard.

I haven't had a Christmas without a tree.

But Christmas isn't about trees or presents or any of those things. It is about spending just one day with the people you love, and celebrating the birth of a special baby who could tell the world was love and loyalty really are.
