I disagree completely. I loved it. You have to remember that it's the first of three, so it's intent was to set the story line. I'm sure there will be much more action in the 2nd and 3rd.
But I love that style of movie and book. I love dragons, magic, and all of that stuff.
I thought the special effects were awesome!
I left the theater wanting a dragon of my own.....but like I said, I've always loved dragons, and I've always wished they were real...lol

I've read many questions and answers to do with the movie ERAGON on this site. And answered many too.

My biggest find:
- If you've read the book and loved it, you're likely to be disappointed by the movie - because it changes much of the story.
(This ofcourse however is not always the case, as I know some who still loved the movie.)

- If you're just a fantasy/adventure lover, (and havn't read the book) then you'll love the movie ERAGON.

- If you're not particularly taken by fantasy/adventure unless it's extremely good (like Lord of the Rings) then it'll probably not be much to you.

Personally, I disagree.
I'm a fantasy/adventure lover and havn't read the book.
I loved ERAGON. I think it was well done. Not terribly orignial, but well done.

My Recommendation: Watch the movie before you read the book. ; )

well, i haven't watched it yet. but from what i read people say that the movie added new things that were not from the book. plus i think that the movie would have done better if eragon was played by alex pettyfer instead of edwadr speleers since alex is so much more hotter and great actor!

i saw eragon just yesterday... although i am going to disagree with you and not say it is terrible, i will say the movie was boring and i was ready to leave half way through.... the movie was too cliche and much too predictable, it was easy to guess the whole story after a mere 10 minutes....

For its audience, it was pretty good.

For me, it was not good.

I'm smart enough to know that every movie is not made for me, so I'm fine with that. I hope lots of teenagers enjoyed Eragon.

If you are over the age of 11 then you weren't really the chosen demographic...to be fair.
