I just read something on this not too long ago. The pickle is an ornament on the Christmas tree, and it's kind of hidden, so the children have to go over the tree carefully to find it. If I recall correctly, the child who finds the pickle gets a special present or something like that. It's supposed to teach the children to appreciate the beautiful decorations on the Christmas tree because they have to look at many of them before they find the pickle. THE ONLY PICKLE LEGEND THAT I'M AWARE OF TOOK PLACE BACK IN THE 60'S. IT HAPPENED IN MAYBERRY AND DEPUTY FIFE SUMMED IT UP BEST WHEN HE CALLED THEM KEROSENE CUCUMBERS.

Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; Free them from the hand of the wicked.

Psalm 82:3-4

GOD BLESS
