If it is , And if it is fibrous ,Yes it could hurt you, it could also be cancerous .
Or it could be just a water filled cyst , they are painful but not dangerous ,they hurt till they break . Don't take a chance find out now. Wondering is twice as bad as knowing .

Yes. My friends mom was sick for a really long time and when they finally hospitalized her they thought it was her appendix. Turned out it was an ovarian cyst. She had to have a laparoscopy and and IV. she was in the hospital for a like 3/4 of a month and had to have a number of drainings and surgeries.

yes, u need to have it measured. I think they have to be 3cm to have it removed but they can rupture and cause the ovary to have to be removed. If you have pain and then it goes away and comes back you may already be bursting cyst as they will bust and come back. Pain lasting for 3 weeks you need to go to the doctor, hormone therapy can help.
