What kind of a fregged-up society do we live in?
Our divorce rate is out of control, and even couples that don't get married can't stay together either. Being a single mother and absentee father is becoming the norm, and we get these ridiculous amber alerts where one of the parents "kidnaps" their own child. What's next, a man suing a woman for misuse of his sperm? Wake up men and women of the western world!!!!!! Get in a relationship, stick with it, and stop embarassing our generation for eeons to come. We should be ashamed!

dear linda,
thank you for answering, however i think you are missing my point. We have turned the family into a farce. A joke. And instead of talking about love and solidarity and having the courage to work things out, we **** without any foresight and then in a year or two are talking about custody and these other legal stupidities because our society has lost it's priorities. If you can't stay together people, don't have kids.

Yes, I agree with you. But this whole world seems out of whack. We have been teaching our children that it's okay for them to marry and get a divorce for any reason. Then, when divorce happens the child or children think that it's their fault when it's not. We also have dead beat dads who are just not welling to step up to the plate. We as women can't force these men to be dads and unfortunately we were young and ignorant to the married life. Some think that by having a child that this will keep the men and make them responsible. Others are deceived into believing that this man or woman will take care of their responsiblity, whether it is by having a child or being married. Well another issue is the about the children that are out of control. There are so many issues that this world is facing right now.

You are so right in so many ways people are getting married for shiny rings and toys and all the other crap the whole love one person for life has gone to the crapper. But yes if the parent
has only visitation rights and leaves the state without consent
or notifies anyone it is considered abduction of the said child.
If you can believ this almost 60% of all children reported missing in this world are from the result of a failed marriage and one parent taking the child and never to be seen again.

Yes, if they don't have custody it IS!! If you have an issue with the custody arrangement take it through the proper channels. Don't play games with your kids. The custodial parent shouldn't play games to be vindictive either. Sometimes the revenge factor just gets out of control with these parents who do not think about the effects on their kids.

as much as I agree there are still those circumstances where the divorce or separation happened because of abuse or violence. Some people have kids that shouldn't be allowed to be parents we need a way to make sure these kids are found and safe.

Children are not property, they are not owed. Kidnapping a child can & has put many children in mortal danger not to mention the stress & fear. Fight is you must but leave the kids out of it.

I agree with you 100%......we have become a society that is morally bankrupt...it is a sad commentary.....I wish you luck...be good to your kids...love them and try to keep them sheltered from all the bad stuff...teach them respect, loyalty, fear, love, kindness, courtesy, consideration....all those wonderful things that people neglect today....good luck

it's illegal legally but i think it's perfectly fine for a woman to try and get away with her children... but only if there is good reason to like if her husband is really abusive
