Who do you think deserved it more and why?

Ronaldinho deserved the award, but out of two of them....Buffon maybe but Cannavaro definitely not, but like I said before, if Juventus was still in Serie A or if Buffon was sold to some big club like Real, he would won this award, but only because of the fact that Italy won the WC and that he was main reason of their victory (not Cannavaro)!!!!!!

Buffon !
Player are judged by the company they keep.
A defender that plays for Italy and Juve (and has Buffon behind him) is likely to look good. There is not point have a wall if the opponent can just walk around it :-)
Cannavaro is a great player but in my opinion Buffon should have won.
Buffon (as an individual) stopped goals where Cannavaro didn't. His record in the WC final is superb. His record in the Serie A/B is unrivalled.

Both players are worthy of praise. Buffon won the Yashin Award as best goalkeeper while Cannavaro was part of the impregnable Italian defence that not even the might of Australia could pierce. :>0

well i am definately happy that Cannavaro won but i would also have been happy if Buffon won too. They are both great and deserve it but i like the fact that Cannavaro won and he is the captain of the team too plus who knows if he will be around next WC :( whereas Buffon i think probably still will be. I would of been happy either way :)

I'm not Italian fan, but i have to say that out of them Buffon deserved the award more.

I think Buffon deserved the award. He was WAY better. Way as in "by far better"

Buffon, hes the best golie in the world right now and played the best in the tournament. He deserves it.
