My girlfriend, who has a lot of money from family assets, wants to pay for me to have plastic surgery on my face so that I look like her favourite actor, John Hurt.
Currently, I look nothing like John Hurt, and nor do I particularly wish to look like him. It would take quite a few operations over a year long period.
Should I go ahead with it for her happiness?

Stupid questions? Level 2? Do you win anything for getting to higher levels, or just earn more asking entitlements?

Are you insane? What about YOUR happiness? Clearly you shouldn't be with this girl if she wants you to look different. I mean, seriously, what is that? She sounds very controlling and I would suggest dumping her.

Clearly this gir.l does not love you for the way you are and you deserve someone so much better. Don't even give this operation a second thought say no and get that gir.l out of your life. I can't believe that she even asked you that. You have rights and opinions. You should ask her if she would get surgery so she can look like your favorite actress. What about your happiness? The is not one person that deserves to be treated like this. I've heard of a lot of crazy things but this one tops them all. What do her parents have to say about this and how about yours? Are you willing to go through all that pain so you can change yourself to her liking. Obviously she doesnt' love you the way you are. And in order for her to still love you, you must change her looks. That is insane. Break up with this gir.l and get her out of your life and go far far away from her.

John Hurt has rather a lot of folds on his skin - laughter lines I believe they are called. Do you have this much skin to play with? If not, where will the surgeon harvest it from? What if he takes the skin of an old crone who has already croaked? Would you be comfortable living inside the skin of a cadaver?
Perhaps a latex mask is the answer. You can always replace it, too, when she decides she has had enough of John Hurt and fancies something a bit more beefcake.

NO!!! Personally Dick, I don't think even if you had the painfull operations and went through thousands of pounds to look like John Hurt it may still not be exactly what she wants.......she may eventually decide to find her own JH double, then where would you be? Live with what you was born with, she fell for you as you are, so why change you!!
Is this a serious question????? Because who would want to look like John Hurt except the man himself!!??

With your girlfriend now being so financially wealthy, why not ask her if she would undergo plastic surgery to look like Carmen Diaz, Beyonce, Jennifer Aniston or Angelina Jolie? Just explain to your girlfriend that you would love her even more if she resembled one of these celebrities. I'd be willing to bet my last dollar that your girlfriend will look at you like you are crazy and ask much the same thing. Your answer should then be, "... and this is the same thing that you are asking of me ..."

Your girlfriend should love you for who you are and what you look like now! I would say no don't do it, because she should be happy with you and your looks now. Don't change for someone because they have money, change for yourself. So if you feel it's best for you to do it and endure the pain of surgeries then do it, if you are happy with yourself now, then don't.
Also consider what if 5 years down the road she decides she loves another actor or just decides that you don't look enough like him for her? Personally I wouldn't do it, but good luck!

Laugh - yeh go on.. lose your own good looks, the looks she went for in the first place... go on ..... do it.... and then lose the girl. That's what will happen to you. She will have no respect for you after because you dropped to your knees and grovelled.
Stay the man you are, forget face lifts etc., stay the man she fancied in the first place. Let her spend the money on something else ....like getting over it.

I don't care how much money and asset she has. It don't buy love. If she leaves you tomorrow, you will regret having that procedure because it wasn't something you wanted for yourself. If you feel so insecure with yourself to the point that you would compromise "you" to make someone else happy. You've got issues. If she don't appreciate you and want you and love you for the way you are, then she doesn't deserve you. Money don't make people, peopl emake money. Money don't make me. I make money. So is it worth it? Nope.

You should tell her to use her families assetts to buy a plane ticket to anywhere far away from you. Maybe she could visit John Hurt. She doesn't love you...sorry. Tell her you do it will if she will, and that your favorite actor is Lassy...and see what she will do.
