High school semi-formal!?

Question

What to wear? Pic ideas would be totally awesome, at least just describe. (I'm not good fashion wise, you'll be my best friend if you can help!) Should I wear a short, cocktail, whatever, dress, or something else???

Solids, prints, shoes, color, please help.

OK, I think you should stick with a classic look none of that modern stuffs. How about a simple solid colored halter dress that comes down around your knees or mid - calf. I would just suggest an off - white color. Maybe a little ornamental design on the dress but nothing too complicated. Wear simple pretty accesories like pearls/faux pearls. They would go great with the off white color no? Maybe some simple gold bangles as well. For shoes just stick with some pumps, or strappy sandals. Have a nice little clutch with you and this is how I think you should do your hair:

Braid 3 or 2 braids in the back of your head. Braid those braids together. Then take the big braid and twist into a bun. Secure with bobby pins. <-- my favorite it is really pretty and elegant

That is simple, doesn't take hours and is so elegant!!!

So thats my idea, don't need to follow them, but I'd think you'd look gorgeous in an outfit like this, you can change around some colors if you dont have that etc.

Semi-formal usually means very dressy, but not long or ankle length. The perfect length, is called "Tea length" and is usually mid-calf. Also, try for a solid color and nothing too over the top like tons of sequins. Think more sophisticated. Maybe even strapless, but not too revealing. Good luck and have fun!!!!

when i went to my schools semi-formal, i wore a black mini-skirt with a red shirt, with black knee-high boots, and my hair scrunched. i looked pretty hot if you ask me.
