When I told my brother that I am gay (a year ago). He told me that he knew it since I was 16. And so do my parents. And I have to say, I'm not sissy or being feminine. It comes as a surprise that they accept it. They feel sad but still let me choose the path I want. Sob!~

My biggest surprise (shock)....was to find out that there really are people who don't care when their parents get ill and then die...and have no love or compassion in the process....it profoundly changed me....I was always deeply rooted in sadness that I myself did not have a close knit family (but always felt push come to shove, that ultimately they would be there in illness)....After watching the passing of my husbands parents....and the total lack of care and love by his two siblings....it made me so aware that I was fooling myself in regards to my own family....Any how...I pulled my feet out of the emotional muck and washed my hands of expecting from any of my family members....I now just look forward and embrace the loving people that God places in my path (life) and look forward to my heavenly family....No more tears.
