My wife is in Mindanao, her interview is in Jan. Does anyone know if she can wait in Manila to receive her visa if it is approved, or does she have to return home and wait for it in the mail?

The US embassy is using Air 21 courier for the delivery of the passport with visa. So her visa will send on the address that she indicated on the application form.

Not necessary. When my American visa was approved, I was given the option to get it from the embassy or mailed to my residence in Cagayan de Oro City, Northern Mindanao. Off course you have to pay for the courier services. I am not sure how long it took for my visa to arrive but it did not took months. By the way, that was like 1998? So I am not sure if they still have the same system.

i think she don't need to stay in manila to wait if her visa is approved. it will be sent to her home address via courier, it will take 2 to 3 working days to arrive. good luck!
