Juvenile and immature rebellion for the most part against an imaginary Big Brother government. Those that spout such drivel would pee their pants and hide if confronted with a true totalitarian state. Most left wing, conformist college students grow out of this stage upon graduating and getting a job

"Fight the Power" is said with the assumption that those in government are inately corrupt and seek to squeeze everything they can from the poor - so fight the power means to fight them.

Fight the power means partially to stay true to what your believe in. If someone is trying to push you around don't just be like "well OK". you have to stand up for yourself.
