That is a pretty ambiguous statement, could mean anything. To make it clear say "Sit on it" while holding up your middle finger, then there's no doubt.

I always pictured it being like a knitting thing, cause on happy days they would say sit on it a lot but I pictured the mom or Joanie sitting on something most likely something they were knitting. random huh?
