Are you messy or clean?

Question

Do you think the majority of people are messy or clean? I have always thought of myself as a very neat, clean person. I don't like clutter, things should always be in their correct place, dust is terrible, etc. In my experience, it seems as though most people are the exact opposite...they just throw their stuff everywhere, never dust, vacuum twice a year, accumulate crap, etc. Do you prefer people that are clean or messy?

i'm not neat. i married someone who isn't neat (he just has less crap than i do.).

I think everybody has different standards for "clean" and "messy" so its tough. I do think though that there are two categories. Neat and clean. Neat is organization. If everything has its place and nothing appears cluttered or cramped, it's neat. However clean is hygenical. If there is dirt or dust everywhere something is dirty. If things are spotless and shiny, they are clean. I would think most people strive to be neat and clean but again it's relative.

In my opinion, you can be too much of both.Nothing wrong with being clean and its certainly better not only for looks but health reasons to keep not only your self clean but the place you live in as well.
But it can be to some a bit of a compulsive problem.
I personally think its best to be neat but I too have days were I just don't feel like digging in, so will leave things.But Its usually the next day it all gets back in order.If someone is filthy and have dirty dishes everywhere and never clean, its likely that they keep themselves with the same attitude. Yuck! So, yes I prefer the cleaner choice.

I am a very clean and neat person. Actually my pet peeve is messy people. These persons usually keep everything around them messy and it is very disgusting especially if you have to live with one. Anywayz all mess do is give germs.

I am a clean person, but I am not obsessed with cleanliness. I don't mind messy every now & then, to clean up after themselves. There's a difference in being messy, there's one where it's messy & they will clean up, but there's messy & they are filthy, stinky, slimy & don't care because they are lazy. Those are the ones I can't stand.

I'm a bit of both... I love a clean house and hate things to be out of place... and yet my bedroom gets pretty bad sometimes! But I'm giving it a big clean out this week so then I'll have a spotless room which will be great.

well to me it dont matter, but i myself im a very clean person and when my room is messy i just cant take it and pick up stuff and clean it myself. Though im more of an orgainized person. Though I acutally prefer people clean and messy, but as long as they dont dirty my room that is..

I'm in between. I used to be an immaculate person, but now that I'm older, I see it as something to take up too much time when you could be living life and relaxing. Neat freaks are too uptight.

I am a clean person i can't think in a place that is a mess and i think that everything has it's own place

In between. A mess temperarily doesn't bother me but it has to be cleaned up. I am not a fanatic. but I keep a pretty decent home.

i happen to be VERY organized and clean. i like when things are in their correct spots, and if something gets moved it bothers me. (people actually call me MONICA -- like in friends -- because they say i act like her when it comes to organization things)

i feel like most of the world is messy because its easier. its sooo easy to throw stuff on the floor and be lazy. i think the only reason anyone would bother to pick things up is if it really really really bothered them (like it bothers me).
