you can add these to the ends of a lot of words to come up with new combos:
-licious (from delicious)
-tastic (from fantastic)
-rific (from terrific)
-a-palooza (from god knows where)
-o-rama (again, i don't know where)
So you might have a girl who's bootylicious,
a guy who's spazztastic,
a roommate who's slobbarific,
a class in school that's snore-a-palooza,
a co-worker who's dork-o-rama
ooh, and another combo word that always makes me laugh is "fugly," which is the combination of F***ing and Ugly. That sweater was so fugly.

Such words are "newish" and "slang-oriented". Often they are specific to different regions. I know that Spanglish and Franglish are words I've seen in Linguistic studies. The "F" word is combined a lot like in in-f-ing-credible, or un-f-ing-believable.
Look in music genres too like Trip-hop. Check out food fusion like Tofurkey, and new technologies like podcasting.
I also think words like royale, and mania are often combined, but those may be more compound words.
