LOL Yeah. He thinks he is a cowboy. Sorry but country music has nothing to do with rap music. It is funny watching him trying to sing.

Cowboy Troy

You see that bag over there? You know, the one with all the adjectives and expectations when it comes to music? Don't even bother picking it up when you start thinking about Cowboy Troy.

This Dallas native has been trumpeted from the stage of global television broadcasts as the world's only six-foot-five black rapping cowboy, yet he's equally at home talking about flamenco guitars, digital downloads, professional wrestling and intricacies of the various dialects of the Chinese language.

He's a smiling enigma wrapped up in a gregarious, beat-heavy, tall and behatted package, only fitting for a man with musical interests ranging from Motown to Mozart to Metallica to Moe Bandy.

Welcome to the emergent era of "hick-hop."

Troy Coleman, aka Cowboy Troy, burst onto the country music fan's consciousness with the multi-lingual breakdown in the middle of "Rollin' (The Ballad of Big & Rich)", the opening track to platinum-selling labelmates Big & Rich's 2004 release Horse of A Different Color. But the University of Texas grad is certainly no novice when it comes to electrifying a crowd.

You know that guy that everybody knows, the one who always does everything backwards and who everyone tells them to keep doing things stupid so they can keep laughing at their stupidity....the guy who is a joke and doesn't know it....thats Cowboy Troy with country music.

In all seriousness, though, both he and Wynona stink and never deserved a record deal. However, in today's society many young white girls like two things: First is the cowboy, an icon of wildness of the untamed past. An icon which few of us try to preserve. Second is the black man...I'm not racist, just realistic.

Cowboy Troy tries to give them both....its a joke.

He was the co host of Nashville Star with Wynonna last season.
I believe he's performed with Big and Rich on tour, but I'm not certain.

yeah, he's like the hottest thing in Country right now. his music is selling, so apparently someone is into the "hick-hop" as you put it. I've seen funnier things in my life.

I haven't heard of him but after reading what you have to say, I want to hear more of him! He sounds like country music's version of William Hung.
