It is in human nature to question everything, it is what has raised us to the top of the food chain and enabled us to constantly discover new things about the world. Most people at some point in their lives will question whether or not there is a god. Many will choose to believe in God because of what they believe and others will choose to pray to God because they find the idea of being alone in the universe with no higher power too frightening to cope with.
Your questioning of faith is normal and you beliefe in God is fine. Continue with your relegion to the degree that you want, and if you decide that you do not believe in a higher power, that is fine as well. Relegion is highly personal and completely your decision.

Because you are trying to find your way in life. You question the existence of God because, your logical mind finds it hard to believe in some higher power. Then, you pray to God, because whether God exists or not, it gives you great comfort in feeling that there is someone out there who is looking out for you, someone who knows all the answers.

WELL HE RES THE TRUTH TO AS WHY EVERYONE DEEP DOWN INSIDE FEELS THE NEED TO BELIEVE..BELIEVE THERE IS NO GOd OR BELIEVE THERE IS A HIGHER POWER..ARE YOU READY
WHOEVER PUT US HERE GAVE US A POWER NO KNOWN SPECIES SINCE TIME HAS..AND THAT IS REASONING LOGIC AND KNOWLEDGE ..EVERYONE SEEKING TO FIND TRUTH AND THEM SELF WHILE THEY PONDER ABOUT WHY WE ARE HERE
I BELIVE THAT IS MORE CURIOSITY AND FEAR THAT IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN SOMETHING AND KEEP YOUR FAITH IN IT THAT YOUR AFTER LIFE WILL NOT BE SO PLEASANT ALTHOUGH NONE OF US ON EARTH CAN PROVE THAT ANY OF THIS IS TRUE..IF YOU ARE SMART ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT YOU CAN BELIEVE EVERYTHING PEOPLE "FEED YOU ' THEN YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THAT NO ONE KNOWS THE ANSWER AND IT IS UP TO YOU TO DECIDE WHAT WAY TO GO
I TOO WONDER IF THERE IS A GOD I USUALLY DON'T FEEL GUILTY FOR THIS I SAY I'M MORE OF A SPIRITUAL PERSON AND FOR WHERE EVER THE HOLYSPIRT IS COMING FROM WHEN IM GUIDED THE RIGHT WAY I KNOW ITS TRUE.

Because your scared there just might be one.Let me tell u that when I was a teen I did the thing about saying oh he's not real and then had all these arguments why he wasn't real. As I got older things happen in my life that no human could of done.Then I got this feeling inside me that I have never had. It's called faith...He made me believe through other people...Plus I should of been died many times but here I am...From someone who hated life and authority to now driving a school bus. Well it took me half my life but I see now what people where trying to tell me.I'm not one for preaching.I really have no use for it.But I wanted to tell u my experience.

Because simple logic and a little research tells us there is no such thing as God. But our hopes and dreams sometimes need a lift when our own ambition seems to seems fail us, so we pray to something or someone that is powerful enough to make those hopes and dreams come true for us.

If you are not sure about his existence then the prying makes no sense to me. All religions put a great emphases on a word FAITH. You don't seem to have then why pay? Stop praying until the time is right for you. God Bless.

u hav faith and u believe and that is good although u dont understand. he's in you and a part of who u are so it's what keeps u attached to someone of a higher being. ur heart says to continue praying and it's what God is saying to u. he says u'll know the truth soon so dont give up.

Because you either want to believe in a God, or are fearful of what comes after death, and on "judgement day" you want to be sure that you are "saved". Either that, or you want to believe that you are not alone in the universe, and that someone will help you when things grow dark and/or you need guidance.
I do the same thing sometimes.

Could it be pascal's gambit?
If there was a god, and I thought there was a god: Good! I'm going to heaven.
If there was a god and I thought there was no god: Bad! I'm going to hell.
If there is no god, and I thought there was a god: Not so bad. I'm just wrong.
If there is no god, and I thought there was no god: Good! I'm right.
So over all, its less risky to believe there is a God than to bet that there isn't.
I wonder how many hipocrites really believe this?
