Tank has played his last game as a Bear.
Sad to say, I love his vicious play, but I don't see anything positive coming out of this for the remainder of the season.
Ian Scott will step up undoubtedly.
The question is who else will?
Johnson is a DT. Antonio Garay and Israel Idonije are fine back ups for him and Scott. Alfonso Boone, Alex Brown, Adewale Ogunleye, and Mark Anderson simply must remain healthy, and not get caught up in any off the field incidents for the Bears to survive in the playoffs.
If the Bears release Tank, that opens the door for one heck of a rookie from the practice squad from Arizona by the name of Bryan Copeland. If given the chance he could turn something on before all is said and done.
Sure hate to see old Tank hit the road, but these athletes need to consider what they do on the streets and how it will affect their jobs on the field and in the clubhouse. It can be detrimental to a teams moral and over all spirit. Just look at T.O., he's at it again and Parcells won't tolerate it forever.
But ...................I didn't come to start no trouble,....................I just came to do the SUPER BOWL SHUFFLE!!!!!!!!!

The bears already placed him on the inactive list and that is probally where he will stay for the remainder of the year since Ian Scott had a great day in his place. If I were the bears I would release him after the season. This is his third run in with the law in 3 years. 2 years ago he had similiar gun charges against him dropped and last year he was arrested for resisting arrest and he was placed on 18 months probation which he broke with his most recent arrest. He is a distraction to the team no matter how good he is and they should and most likely will drop him after the season

sit him out the rest of the season and investigate more into the off field issues before u let him go. Hes way to good just to release him cuz he'll get picked up within 24 hours if he wanted to. If I was the Bears GM I would suspend him w/o pay for the final 3 games and then go from there!

Get rid of this guy immediately. Lovie Smith should set him out for the rest of the season and playoffs. I don't care how great of a player he is, if you want to play football then be alot more responsible and act like it. Tank Johnson is an idiot. This guy is busted with 6 loaded guns, and is rolling with guys who are loaded with drugs. No need for trash like that in the NFL, it gives the good guys in the league and the league itself a bad name. Not to mention he has children. Pretty scary this guy had all of these loaded weapons in his house around his children who could have very well picked them up and payed the price for it. Bears need to show they have respect for themselves and the league and hit this guy hard.

suspend at the very least. SO sick of "role models" that can't even drive with insurance.

look into it. if he had anything to do with it then he should pay for what he did or was involved in.
this should NOT be swept under the rug.
