I'm writing a novel taking place roughly from 900 -1200 in Wales. I need to know if men shaved back then and if so what did they use?

It was in ancient Summeria. The women of the time found that their men looked more attractive clean shaven . It became a fashion and it passed down to us via Alexander the Great and the Romans to the modern world. This happened sometime after 3,000 B.C. after the Summerians had moved down to Mesptomia from the north.

The Normans (later to become the English) used a pumice stone, but grew long moustaches. I believe the Saxons in England grew their beards long. I have no idea what the Welsh were doing at the time.

The Romans shaved, so the idea was out there in 900. I have no idea whether the Welsh did at that time.

It varies counting on the guy. it could selection from 12 - sixteen. He could initiate while there is too plenty peach fuzz and it does not look great. the final concern is to verify while his dad began to shave, that could desire to be the final indicator
