i have like 5 zits. it's horrible. tell me what im doing wrong! i have combination skin. im using Clean & Clear Cream Cleanser twice a day. i always remove my makeup at night. i blot my forehead several times in the day with toilet paper or tissues to get rid of grease. in the morning i use maybelline oil free Pure Makeup. I apply covergirl powder, which i've been using for years so i know that's not a problem. i keep my makeup brushes clean and my pillow cover and everything. why am i breaking out so bad? i've tried toothpaste, mint julep mask on the spots, 10% benzoyl peroxide, and i've tried this Clean & Clear spot treatment with salicic acid that claims that 100% of people see results within a day. i've been using this stuff for a month or two. what am i doing wrong?

well, it seems to me that you are using alot of treatments! Zits are actually caused by WASHING OR RUBBING OUR FACE TOO HARD! Isn't that odd??? By rubbing our skin, we are actually stirring and irritating our pores. And medicated creams may help, but eventually your body gets used to the medicine so well, that eventually the medicine seems to stop working because the body stops reacting to it. You may think that I'm odd, but you should really just try to go a couple days of just washing your face twice a day. Make-up doesn't cause zits, and neither does oily skin or your diet. It is really because we play around with our skin that our skin breaks out. Yes, I have studied this and had to write papers on it! Hope I help.

Stop using your makeup (even though it's been fine in the past, they could have changed formula and it's causing more pore problems), try to think of anything that you're eating differently, and if you're under stress it will also have an impact on your complexion. Maybe your hormone levels are fluctuating as well... I normally have clear skin, but right before my periods sometimes it will go haywire. Instead of blotting, try washing your face a couple times a day with Basis soap. It's very mild and is formulated for acne. If you don't see any improvement soon, I would reccomend a dermotologist. Good luck!

Just because you have been using a brand of makeup for so many years, it does not make it impossible that it is really your makeup that is causing the problem. Also, your skin care is definitely not the best in the market. I have not had any acne on my face for the past 6 months. I believe it is because of the combination of the skin care and makeup that I am using. Try Everyday Minerals at everydayminerals.com. The company sends samples for free. Ask for Intensive formula because this does wonders in healing and protecting the skin from oil and impurities that cause acne. Also, although I absolutely hate Mary Kay representatives, try MK Timewise moisturizer and Night Solution for oily to combination skin. These do a great job for your skin as well.

You only have 5 zits? Consider yourself lucky! I am 13 and have been breaking out since I was like 9. Don't worry, it will go away. Just keep doing what you have been. At this age the body tends to make more zit-causing stuff. You aren't doing anything wrong, for now you'll just have to deal with it.

dont put make up for right now, and try to avoid sun... I had the same problem and I tried so many products to get rid, and guess what it kept increasing.... finally went to a Dr. and got a prescription medication and injection on my pimples... Now, it has started to clear up but still but marks left...
For you, use Neutrogena products only... Dr. loves that brand..... I would suggest for you to make an apt w/ a doc... and see before it gets worse....
hope all works out

put lotion on it. It'll heal faster. Popping zits is bad from what i've heard as it leaves scars. But i've popped many when I was young, never had any scars on my face when I did.

hhhmmmmm. Shocking news, Larry phone channel nine news, weve got a story here! I think that it is just hormones. Don't use the benzoyl peroxide!!! It kils a lot more than pores!
