Much like today, only more isolated. Fewer people will leave their homes since they work, shop, bank, and socialize by computer.

The most mobile people will be those that work in transportation and services. Someone has to deliver the stuff that's ordered and someone has to keep the stuff that's ordered working.

The rainforest will continue to be depleted, the ozone will continue to thin, and people will continue to have babies.

In 2050 China wiil become the only superpower in the world. It will be in conflict with the West. It will be the Cold War all over again, democracy vs. authoritariamism. A liberal branch will emerge within Islam and Muslims will fight and kill each other for many decades (like Christians did during the Reformation). All of this will make the world very unstable.

In the US, the percentage of non-whites wil be larger than the percentage of whites. Spanish will become the second official language. Social conservatives will be despised and hated. Gays will achieve complete equality, including marriage. the Republican Party either disappear or move more towards the middle, where most of Americans are.

Should be pretty cool.
Economically, the world will have found a way to cooperate in a fair way in goods and services. A non-fossil fuel energy will be creating more than half the energy required on the earth. Might be hydrogen (created by wind or solar power), could be some sort of cold fusion process, but things will change.
Climate will be terrible. Despite whatever we do at this point, things will keep heating up. Good for Canada (overall) bad for the U.S. and especially bad for already dry hot areas.
Space elevators will be in operation (this is not B.S. check NASA site) opening up more opportunities in off world development.
Electronic paper will be able to be folded up and carried around in lieu of books.

Poverty should be knocked down. As we are finding out now, this world is too small to have poverty and instability anywhere in the world.

China's dominance of the world economy will be coming to an end while India's dominance is on the upswing (good for me: they speak English in India).

It should be interesting times.

Peace
