Its pretty simple. Basically when you get old enough to have kids your overies begin to release eggs. At this time your uturis will begin to build up a lineing in it to protect the egg incase you get pregnant at this time. If you don't get pregnant then your body no longer needs the lineing to you shed it which results in your period. Periods are different for everyone but most girls get cramps and bleed for about four to six days. It can vary from very heavy flows with lots of blood or to very low. A lot of girls get cramps which is cause from your uturis contracting trying to get rid of the blood. It can be very bright red to a dark brownish color. It usually turns a brown color toward the end because the blood is getting old. Some experience mood swings (PMS) because of the hormone changes plus the fact that periods suck and is usually very nasty. I hope this helps.

Lifting heavy items can cause pain where you are cramping

Possible headache/migraine

Backache

Tired and grouchy

If you're lucky, symptoms are not severe....otherwise, it can turn you into a real witch once a month

I don't get mine for half the year b/c I am a gymnast and I tend to lose body fat when I train hard, so I have low body fat levels and lose my period.

My advice: Become a varsity gymnast
