In short yes, it's a great game, however if you're considering getting it there are some notable things that I'd take into consideration before buying.
First of all WoW has a monthly fee of about 15 USD to play per month...no game is worth a monthly to play, end of story.
WoW also requires a great deal of grinding (or spending time getting XP to level) to get to level 60, and the expansion will only make it harder by increasing the cap level to 70. Much of this grinding time is repetive and flat out a waste of time.
WoW also proves to be very addictive. Not only do you have to spend a lot of time to increase in level, but many people can't stop playing. I know people who feel like WoW is there entire life and don't really do anything else.
Now other then that, WoW is quite possibly the best MMORPG out there, if not ever made. WoW offers high quality graphics, over 5 million players, and lots of diffrent servers and diffrent kinds of servers that allow players to chose how they want to play and decreases lag in game. WoW has at least a much to do in end game then it does before level 60, Gold has a USD value to many players, and it offers 8 races with 9 classes to chose from to create a character. I think World of Warcraft is the best game people have ever played. It is the best game i have played and i have played alot of really good games. It is awesome because of the armor,wepons,pets,quests,monsters,adventures, and awesome places to go and see.

My sister is totally addicted and she's infected my brother.
I don't even want to go near the game....
I'm stuck with dial up internet at home which would make game play frustrating. If I try the game, I know I'd be hooked too.

WoW is perhaps the sole game that sealed my fate, taking me out of reality, and destroying my life.
Still I can't say I'll ever stop playing it...though like everything good it gets boring after a bit.
Then again I honestly CAN'T stop playing it!! haha.

I really enjoy the game. I have several chars, but ne's are my favorite on alliance side, and taurens on the horde side.

having not played it i dont personally know but i dont see how people couldplay that game for so long without getting bored
