They can dehydrate you, plus rob your body of its vital vitamins and minerals that it needs to keep your body healthy and help fight sickness. Plus you can also become dependant on it. Actually, too much of any type of drug, whether its over the counter, or prescription is not good for the body, and may have some long term effects later on. Best of luck to you.

If overused they can cause a host of fluid and electrolyte abnormalities, some even fatal, though that would be a rare extreme.
I once heard an old country doctor explain this to a patient: "You know, if you're trying to get your mule to pull and he won't, you can beat him with a stick, and he'll work. If he balks again, you can hit him again. But if you keep beating and keep beating, he'll get to where he can't work even if he wants to. That's what it's like when you use laxatives all the time."

They'll still make you go to the bathroom. Some people use them as a quick diet, but that is dangerous, as that can cause a dependence to laxatives.

Don't take meds if you don't need them.

NOW LET ME TELL YOU WHAT YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW. LAX. ARE USED TO HELP LAZY PEOPLE LOOSE WEIGHT. IT YOU ARE WILLING TO HURT ONE PART OF YOUR BODY TO GET SOME WEIGHT LOST, GOOD LUCK
