okay one of my friends is in real trouble. her dad is in prison for something really bad. and her mom does drugs. she isnt allowed to have friends except me cause her mom thinks there all bad druggies. she thinks of killing herself but i cant let that happen. what should she do? her name is chey and she is 12. she is my penpal and we live across the country, but ive met her before. i pray for her but her situation is still bad. what should she do? thanks!!

This is something that should not be taken lightly. If you know her address then you need to contact some help for her. Obviously her mother is not in the right mindframe to help her right now since she can't even help herself. Are there other relatives that you can contact so that they can step in and get this poor child some help? If not then I think you should speak to your parents about what steps to take to save your friends life.

Tell her to talk to a counselor at school. That is the only thing I can think to do.

She can call her local human services agency or talk to a teacher and they can call for her. She could also talk to a school counselor or other trusted adult.
