This would be a good one for a debate. If I were in Hawaii and the sun cam up I would see dawn long before New York. Seeing that New York is in the second time zone. Maine being in the first having it's own time zone one would say it would experence dawn first, then New York.

New York, because it is farthest east. The farther east a place is, the farther ahead in time zones it is (until you reach the International Date Line)

you sure are not living up to your "smarty" name...
how stupid can you be to not know that the sun rises in the east,,,,and sets in the west.?????..
NOW...if you want to get technical....the sun rises at almost the same CLOCK time in every place...right now in Northern Ontario it rises at about 0815....and it will do the same in Hawaii and New York...because of the universal time that we are using now....rather than the old way of every town and city having its own time.....universal time and GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) was created by a Canadian, by the way...
