Put a capo on the first fret at the top close to the tuning keys, then tune the guitar--E-A-D-G-B-E, then take the capo off and it will be a half step down, that's the easiest way !!

To tune one half step down, follow these instructions:

With normal EADGBE tuning the strings should sound in -sync when you play A2 E0. To tune a half step down tune the E string down until you get the same or similar effect from the guitar on A1 E0. Then tune all strings to this E string with A being 5 fret notes above, same for D, same for G, B being 4 fret notes higher than D and high E being 5 fret notes higher than the B string.

You can tune to a piano (as said before) by tuning the low E string to D# or E.fl. and using the same process as stated above to get the other strings in tune.

And lastly if the tabs don't have a low E0 in them then you can just take off 1 fret # from each one listed using the process as stated above to guide you through any string changes that may be necessary.

half a step down is d sharp/e flat, g sharp/a flat, c sharp/d flat, f sharp/ g flat, a sharp/ b flat, and d sharp/ e flat
