I don't think she's going to very soon. What would they call the show then? Pretty Betty? And what would the story lines be? She has to stay the way she is. Which I don't believe is that bad, once you see how sweet she is and how nice her personality is.

Goodness NO! The premise of the show is about the beauty within the soul of her as a person. If you give 'Ugly Betty' a makeover, you take away the purpose of her character. She's supposed to stand out in the crowd while working for a fashion magazine. This isn't what the character is about in the show.
The message conveys finding beauty within ourselves as individuals is more important than judging them from the outside. If this message can be found as employee working in the fashion industry then we are to feel better for ourselves. Such a message has been missing in television ever since it was invented as part of an ongoing series.
A makeover for the main character isn't going to happen anytime in the show or else the message itself doesn't have any meaning whatsoever. Take away the braces and huge glass frames, what's left is a normal girl just trying to make ends meet. Not all ducklings are meant to be swans.

If they give her a makeover then there is no Ugly Betty maybe they will give her one on the very last episode.

I dont think so. Because like what others have said, what would they call the show? Maybe the writers will make her get a makeover but then she changes back to how she looked before because she didn't feel comfortable.
btw thanks for reminding me of the show. i am so bored right now and i am behind on a few episodes. im going to go watch it now.

I hope not, as I think she is beautiful as she is, although she is too young for me in reality. It is important to note, that I remember a lot of young ladies looked like that in high school and bloomed into beautiful women in a short time. I really respect the young actress Ms America Ferrara for taking that part as I feel that she is very brave and extremely talented. Kudos to Salma Hayek for a well produced comedy.

there's NO SUCH THING as ugly people. Just people that take care of themselves and people who don't. Hopefully Betty starts taking care of herself.
