Well it depends, an iPod its really an mp3, but since its the most popular of them they say that the iPod is diferent, well the difference is really that its "better" to be seen with an iPod than a cheap mp3, nevertheless the iPod of 80 GB its really good, because it has video and can hold like 15000 songs or more, if you want to listen to the radio in the iPod you have to buy a special adapter, and they are some mp3 like the zen creative that have radio and video with no adapters

Well there are several differences between ipods and mp3 players. Ipods have a reputation for being spendy. You can go to google.com and put lime wire then dowload it! Lime wrie then enables you to get instant acess to any music that you would like! You also have to dowload itunes! BUT BOTH OF THESE FEATURES ARE 10000% free!!!!! Then you copy the songs that you dowloaded from lime wire to your itunes library plug in your ipod and then you are all set! Good luck! I would pick an ipod over an MP3 player any day!

an i pod is a little more expensive but holds more songs and can be used with a transmitter to play all your music on the radio
mp3.'s are cheaper and usually come with a voice recorder and most hold about 2-3 hundred songs
