My nieghbour has a child whois 2 .I took her to the mall for an evening of enjoyment and while there I had the hairdresser trim her hair. The Father now claims that the child is in excruciating pai over the loss of her hair and that she is constantly crying for her hair and that I now owe him $500,000 in damages ...award money for the damage I caused. I own 2 condos and he wants the 2 properties ...one for the temple as a donation and the other as a place for his daughter in the future when she grows up!!I told him I would conter-claim and he has told me that there is no claim and he will be awarded money. I need to hire a lawyer and go to court and when he is finished with me I will have nothing. When I told him he is mean.He told me that I showed NO REMORSE OR FEELING FOR HIS DAUGHTER AND THAT I COMMITED A CRIMINAL ACT. I have no feels for his child and will NEVER GET HER AGAIN . I know this is going too far but they are Indian and new immigrants and this is how they see things here.

I would tell him: I apologize for whatever "pain" I caused your child. If you feel this is worth getting in a legal battle over then do what you need to do." Then get a lawyer.

Let his take you to court. Let him waste his money on a lawyer, if he can find one who would take such a preposterous case. By the time he finds one, the kid's hair will have grown back anyway. I cannot imagine any court awarding any sort of damages on such an innocuous charge. You might even consider suing him for what appears to be an attempt at extorting money from you.

well you are wrong for getting his child hair cut with out the parents permission . but 500.000 dollars in damage is way to much for this it's not even a crime just negligent on your part . you can get sued for anything these days . so i would probably get a lawyer and settle out of court . learn from this and good luck

You were wrong getting her hair cut but he is going way over board with this! Get a good lawyer. I don't see how he can get what he is wanting. Good Luck!

I take it you are talking about people from India. Alot of them are money grubbers. They own alot of hotels and 7-11's in this country and over price everything. I think they should all go back to wherever they came from. Sorry to hear about your problems. That really sucks!
