Pardon me for asking, but didn't I list you on my NO-CALL-LIST about a month ago, and may I remind you, this is punishable by LAW because I am not listed in the phone book ! ! !

I am actually on the other end, and you all should remember that we are just doing our job. I understand that getting the calls can be annoying, but there is no need to be rude. How do you know that you dint want what I have? I do have to say that there are some pushy and rude telemarketers out there. By all means rip them a new one, don't let them disrespect you.

All that I ask is if we are polite, return us the same courtesy

Actually, I don't even answer the phone if the number is "unknown" or unknown to me. I've heard funny things people do though, like trying to sell the telemarketer something back.

I get them to start talking and then quietly put the phone down and walk away. Come back in a few and hang it up. They are always gone when I come back.

I hang up without talking. But, I usually look at the caller ID and if I don't recognize it, I don't pick it up.

Call back later.

"No thank you" *click*

That would be, of course, if they identified themselves on the Caller ID - I won't answer an unknown name or number; and if a call is blocked, they get to hear my fax tone.
