What I am really trying to accomplish is installing a car stereo. My last stereo was stollen and they cut the wires in it. I do not know what wires go to what wires. I need to know what the wires comming out of the car are for.

The information you are looking for will not be found in an owners manual. You will need a repair manual. You need to find a wiring diargam for the radio. Chilton is a publisher that offers these manuals for a wide range of makes and models. I'ld check Ebay first but the books are only about $25 new at most auto parts stores. Or if you don't want to spend the money, many large chain auto supply stores have Michell On Demand available for free to customers. Here you can find a wiring diagram for your vehicle.

Or if you are really stuck, your car's radio should be wired up just like most other vehicles. What I mean is that most vehicles have the same colour code for all of the radio's and this includes GM, Toyota, Honda, and Chrysler's. So if you want to try take the wiring harness that came from the radio into your car and match up all of the wires colours together, they shouls be the same.

If all else fails take it to a mechanic, It will cost you but at least you know its done right.

Good Luck

If you are set on doing this yourself, a factory repair manual, not an owner's manual, will be the only source of the circuit detail you require. You can get a service manual specific to your car by calling Resolve (used to be Dyment Distribution Services) of Strongsville. OH. 440 572-0725. It probably will not be as cheap as the more well known general repair manuals.

How about this?

You can also find the manuals at local auto parts stores such as Pep boys. The Dodge Spirit was the same as the Plymouth Acclaim...just a different front grille.

Your altenator could be going undesirable. Take the motor vehicle to a battery save and enable them to do a loose "charging" try. if it extremely is the altenator, you or a mechanic can somewhat replace it.
