If you're looking for sth free go for Avast , DO NOT HESITATE!! , I'll promise you, you wont have any problem with that... and of course it will protect you from EVERYthing!

Well depends how bad the infection is:
Get AVG free edition
Get The Cleaner 4.1(1 month free trial) world best trojan & virus remover
Get yourself a spyware remover : Adaware SE Free edition.
Most of that can be found on cnet.download.com
Now after you installed all these antivirus, before scanning (VERY IMPORTANT) make sure you do it on the safe mode.
To access the safe mode : Reboot your PC and while rebooting press F8.
If possible scan while you are off the internet to avoid repluciation issues.

I can give a few links that offer free virus and spyware removers...!You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at

Completely restore your computer via control panel.
THEN worry about virus protection.
(p.s.... I wouldn't download one if I were you. They slow up your computer by a landslide. However, if you choose to add one, please buy the software from a store rather than the internet.)
