i have heard that the final season of the anime series Sailor Moon won't make it to the US...in English because the director of something said no. is this ture? Won't funimation or some other company try to get the rights and release them in the US even at a later date? i mean why cancel the release of the final season in the US? that is soo stupid! does anyone know anymore information on this? Thanks!

The final season of Sailor Moon went in a drastically different direction that the first four seasons, including sailor scouts that appeared to be men in their non-sailor persona's. The official story is that the owners of the franchise feared that the final season's episodes would cause too much uproar among parents groups and kill the sales of all Sailor Moon merchandise. It is especially unlikely for the last season of Sailor Moon to come to the US since all the previous seasons are no longer licensed for distribution in the US. It is currently unknown if any of the anime Sailor Moon series will be re-released in the US in the future. If the Japanese owners of the show refuse to sell the rights for a US release, there is no way that the show can be legally released in the US. Also, the Sailor Moon series is rather old, so there may not be enough demand, especially among mainstream consumers, to release the first four seasons, never mind the fifth season which may be impossible to get anyway.
