It depends on what type of contacts you have. If they are dailies or weeklies, then that is VERY bad for your eyes. If they are not disposable at all, then again this is really bad for your eyes. Leaving contacts in for longer than they are supposed to be used can cause you to get ulcers on your eyes. This is Extremely painful!!!
Use them as you are directed and you will be fine.

Leaving contacts in longer than the recommended time (some ophthalmologist even say take them out daily regardless of the recommended time) can lead to many problems, which can seriously damage your sight:
As mentioned above there is a chance for infection, both bacterial and fungal, some of which are not so easy to treat.
You may also get a corneal ulcer, depending on how bad it is may leave a scar.
The cornea takes oxygen directly from the air, contact lenses allow some diffusion of air (depending on their material, which is why some are advertised for longer wear) when you cover it up with a contact the cornea becomes hypoxic leading to blood vessels actually trying to grow into it, this could lead to impaired vision which could take a while to clear up.
At some point your conrea may not be able to tolerate contacts at all.
SO
don't do it.
take them out at night.
wash them with contact lens solution.
make sure you have "enzyme" solution.
RUB,
make sure you rinse and dry the container and keep it clean.

particularly, as long as you faithfully carry on with your cleansing habitual (i.e. you sparkling your contacts each time such as you're meant to) it is going to be wonderful. I even have been wearing my 2 week contacts for over a month each time I used them for a minimum of the previous 10 years and have never had a issue. in spite of the undeniable fact that, i'm notably careful approximately protecting them sparkling and consistently toss them if i think of I also have a tear interior the lens or an aggravated eye (via fact that inflammation might properly be an indication of an infection, and so on.). i'm no longer a physician yet I even have completed this for years and have not had a issue. save them sparkling and notice your eye scientific expert in case you have ANY complications. stable success!

Its bad because your contacts will get dry and all the dirt that goes into your eyes during the day time will still be in there. Theres always the chance of having your contacts gettign stuck under your eyelid which hurts like crazy. It's really worth taking your time to take them off and clean them on a daily basis as well as taking them off before going to bed. I guess you have to get it stuck in your eye to learn your lesson, trust me you'll really regret not takign them out. I wasn't able to take it out for about a day and a half, because of that experiance I rarely wear my contacts now.

there are a lot of things that can go wrong. if you are leaving them in 24/7 then you should reconsider it. Contacts wear on your eye tissue when there is no moisture under the lens. you can thin out your tissue and never be able to rebuild it. Therefore optical surgeries will be limited or worse you wont be able to have any optical surgeries at all.

It's not awful, but it isn't recommended. Germs become trapped inside the contact lens, and your eyes need a chance to breathe and remoisturize. Hence experts recommend taking contacts out at night and cleaning them regularly.

it really is nt good to do that. by wearing contacts they absorb alot of the water from your eyes and you can damage the eyes. unless they are specificly for long term use......take them out regularly.
