At about 4 months you will feel a movement in your stomach.
As time passes and your stomach grows, you can feel a hard place in your stomach when he moves. If you don't feel your baby move for a few days, you should call your doctor.
You will find a lot of information at www.babycenter.com and also www.toseeka.com (it tells the baby's development week by week and what to expect) Good luck.

You usually don't feel the baby's movements until about the 5th month. That's because the fetus is too small for its movements to be noticeable. Around the 5th month, the baby kind of feels like fluttering movements so if you've always got stomach twitches, you probably wouldn't notice the difference. However, by the 6th month and definitely by the 7th month, the baby is big enough and strong enough to kick. From that time on, you can even see the kicks through your clothes. And by the time you're 8 months along, there are days when it feels like the baby's stretching is going to dislocate your ribcage (and I have heard of some mother having a rib broken which I don't at all doubt).

The best way to know if the baby is still alive is probably via ultrasound in the earliest months.

I was 14 weeks along when I felt Emma move. Also she has measured a lil large at all appointments. It was not until 16-17 weeks that her movements were strong enough for daddy to really feel. I guess the first couple of weeks are for mama's only! But she has been extremely active all along. Also I was very thin and I am carrying her really low- I think that made it easier to feel her. She had more regular and stronger movement patterns at around 20 weeks- then like 22-24 that was when the rolling started- If you think the first kicks are great this is even better... They roll from one side to another and everyone around you can tell. It is precious. I felt several strange sensations before 14 weeks that I thought might have been her- but then one day I knew there was no denying it. Also early on in pregnancy remember that your muscles and skin are stretching to prepare for pregnancy so you get abnormal lil stretches, not too mention gas. You will know once it happens though. Instinct kinda assures you that hey that is definitely my child.

sorry to hear of your loss, unfortunately, you would not be able to feel any identifiable movement until you are about 18-20 wks at the earliest. The baby wouldn't be big enough otherwise. I actually did not feel my baby kick and realize that it was a true kick and not just gas until I was about 22 wks. It feels like something is poking the inside of your stomach area. Almost like a bubble just popped inside your stomach sometimes. It happens fast and I usually don't recognize the first kick as a kick until I get kicked again. Not sure if this would be of much help and again sorry for your loss. I wish you luck with your next pregnancy.

U will feel flutters like a butterfly flutters like in a plane but slightly different.
Next time u find out u are pregnant, get some Total Cereal and eat lots of it..Folic Acid is the key to good pregnancy.

To me, the first movements of my baby felt like someone was tickling my tummy from the inside...sort of like a butterfly flying around. It wasn't a constant feeling, it would come and go and be absent for LONG periods of time. Now, I'm 23 weeks and have a little soccer player kicking around :)

I am sorry for your lost.
You do not feel baby's movement till you are around 16-19 weeks and even then it is hard to identify it.
but later you will just feel the kicks which can be painful too.

I wish you luck and I am sure your next pregnancy will be great.

Take care

At first it feels like small fluttery feelings inside, can be mistaken for gas sometimes. After you're about 4 to 5 months you'll know when it's moving and sometimes you can see it too! Sorry for your loss, best wishes!

The first movements are hard to detect. It is like butterflies fluttering around.

I am sorry for your loss. How far were you?

I apologize for the analogy, but for me it felt like it feels when I have a gas bubble moving through my intestines when my baby moved.
