This question is one that wonders about the mind of humans. How does it work? How do we think? Have you ever had feelings where you feel like you are thinking out of the box, that you've thought of everything, but not on as simple of a level as all the supplies for a camping trip, on a higher level. You've thought of all the possible things you could and you've just had so much time that you keep thinking and thinking and it never stops. You know that people around you cant be having these thoughts because they are so out there that you cant even believe that you are but that doesn't stop you for a half a second. It such a compelling topic, a confusing one at that. Respond to me on your feelings on this whole matter, and on the wording of the question. Am I alone in the world?

First, that's a horrible mixed metaphor (box/knot) ... yeah. That's not working out. And the way you worded it is contradictory. If you've gotten out of the box (figured out the way to get free), how can you still be in a knot?

In any case, your biggest mistake is in thinking that other people around you have never had your highly original thoughts. They have. Most everything that can possibly be thought has been thought before.

Everybody's in the same boat. You're not "alone." You're not on some weird, different, higher order because you think about how you/we think (though this thinking about thinking is something of a higher-order skill). It's called thinking critically, becoming conscious of how you think and asking why or how you have come to think that way.

Have you been smok'n? Going round in circles of thought. or caught in the negative vortex, spiraling down into a dark hole?? "The mind is not for thinking, the mind is for receiving thought." Ban all negative thought, choose only that thought which is uplifting, loving, positive and Good. Read "As a man thinketh" by James Allen. also read "Three magic words" by U,S. Andersen.

Methinks the knot follows us out of the box. Or perhaps we bring it with us without knowing.

research is the key to any situation...when we stop thinking of original ideas we sometimes go back to the old ones...it's good to have others to bounce questions off to get a new perspective...when I go camping I go by my last experience camping...now I know what to bring...and stop thinking so much you're liable to hurt yourself...

People think in a manner in which they are conditioned to think. They don't live for the moment. Sad.

Stop worrying about the piddly things, and live.
