Persian Empire : First and one of the largest empires in the history of mankind, sometimes also called as "First Aryan Empire".
Alexander the Great: He was not great in fact, he was just a good invader like Hitler, what made people call him "Great" was the fact that there was no better invader in Rome better than him, (Romans themselves were not that brutal of course)
Farsi : The local name of Persian in mideast, it also called as Dari in Afghanistan and as Tajiki in Tajikistan. It's the third type ofPersian language, there's Old Persian (aka Aryan language), Middle Persian (aka Pahlavi) and Dari Persian (aka Modern Persian); the official language of Persia(Iran), Afghanistan, Tajikistan is Dari Persian, Dari itself means Darbary or royal. Of course there's some Persian speakers in China, India, Pakistan, Uzbakistan, Bahrain, UAE, Los Angles.
Kurdish: A language closely related to other Indo-European languages such as Persian, Indian, Sanskrit, etc. it's spoken by Kurdish people in Persia(Iran), Eraq, Turkey, Syria. Kurdish people were known as Medes in ancient times.
Dari or Pashtu: These're two different languages. Dari is what we know as Persian and Pashtu is a sub-lang of Persian, both are spoken in Afghanistan.
Turkish Independences: Turkey was the ruler of Ottoman Empire.
Iraq independence (yr. & from who): I don't know when & from Ottoman Empire , plus Iraq must be called Eraq to prevent any possible misconceptions, some ppl may think that it's related to Iran as their names are similar in the Latin alphabet.
Syrian Independence: from Ottoman Empire.
Lebenon Independence: from Ottoman Empire and then France, etc.
Shah : prononced Shaah, and means King in Persian language, it's been common in English lang., to indicate Persian Kings as Shah.
Ayatollah : Literary means "The Sign of God" , and is one of the highest titles for Islamic clerics.

Sahara Desert the largest with 3.5 million square miles in africa and the Arabian Desert is 2nd at 1 million square miles in Middle East followed by Gobi in China at 1/2 million square miles.
