I am 39 weeks pregnant and I have contractions all the time. However, the strong ones are never consistent enough to put me in labor. If I push when I do have a strong one, do I have any chance of breaking my water?

not really. The doctor had to break my water for 3 of my pregnancies, which was a good thing, because once the water broke, it was instant baby-time. During my last pregnancy, the doctor was running late however, so for the first time ever my water ruptured on its own. The baby was out in less than 1 minute. I didnt even have to push, the contractions did it for me. the student doctgor barely had time to put her gloves on and catch the baby. My suggestion; take a nice long walk (or waddle).
I walked for 4 hours to kick start my last labor, after weeks of contractions. Gool luck.

I don't think pushing will do it for you until the baby is fully engaged. By then you have no choice but to push LOL

My fav's were rasberry tea, evening primrose oil and walking the stairs - that really kicked little contractions into gear.

NO... AND STOP PUSHING! WATER BREAKING DOESN'T START LABOR CONTRACTIONS AND DIALATING DO. JUST BE STRONG AND PATIENT YOU ARE ALMOST THERE. PUSHING CAN LEAD TO YOU HAVING THAT CHILD AT HOME WITHOUT MEDICAL HELP.

do bot push, you can hurt yourself and the baby. you need a doc present before you can start pushing during contractions

good lord woman!!!!! don't push till you get to the hospital!!!!! there's a time to push and a time to hold it, you'd have to wait until the water actually broke and you were fully dilated to push. then again, what do i know? i've never had a baby. good luck and congrats!!!
