I have had sex with a man, but found the experience unstimulating. On the other hand even though I've never had sex with a woman; I do find myself more comfortable in the company of women than men. Does this make me a lesbian?

Give yourself some time to deal with your feelings. Finding sexual experience with one man not stimulating is not THE answer. it may have been the wrong person, the wrong time, the lack of experience, etc. Just being more comfortable with women is not THE answer either. If you find that you have sexual feelings for a woman (women) then you will know which road to follow. Don't put pressure on yourself. Give yourself time to deal with the confusion of sexual feelings. (Heck, I was married and 27!! when I finally came out to myself. I had to deal with breaking up a marriage.)

the fact that your first sexual experience with a man doesn't necessarily mean that you are gay. could be you didn't love the guy, or could be the physical things just weren't happening. sex ual pleasure takes tons of work..

enjoying the company of girls doesn't necessarly mean gay either.

the real test questions you need to ask your self should be:

do you want to have a loving romantic relationship with a girl?
do you want to have sexual encounters with a girl?

also ask this:

does the idea of a loving romance with a guy turn you off?

this should help paint a better picture.

being gay isn't one way or the other. it is a range, a sliding scale.

you could be straight but with incidental lesbian interests.

or you could perhaps be bisexual

or, perhaps you could be lesbian with incidental straight interests

bottom line, don't worry about labelling yourself.. just go with the flow and experience life and enjoy it.

no matter what you do, i'd recommend saving sex for someone special, and be careful!

good luck..

you have never experienced a lesbian relationship correct? But you have a straight relationship and area uncomfortable with it.
Well I don't want to sound as though I am recommending a Lesbian relationship But if you are not sure, maybe try a kiss, and if that is not comfortable for you then maybe it is not for you. I donb't really know what to say to this without sounding like I am trying to transform you or turn you lesbian

Not everyone knows right off whether they're gay or not, but I can try to help you by referring to things that I asked myself when I began to suspect (fairly early in my life) that I was gay:
Do you, or have you ever, fallen in love with, or developed crushes on, other women?
Are you sort of 'cold' when you think of men, generally, as if they don't quite do it for you?
In your mind, when you think of sexual encounters, does it sound far more exciting to think of you and a man, or does that really sort of actually turn you off, and the idea of a woman really gets you going?
I mean, you could be turned on by both sexes as well; there are plenty of people who are into men and women. As far as being gay, it's really not difficult to figure it out, but sometimes we either don't want to admit it to ourselves, or focus on non-sexual aspects of our lives in order not to have to face the nagging doubts we know will rear their heads as soon as we are presented with an opportunity to be with someone.

It's more about what you find attractive. If you've only been with one guy he may have just been bad in bed. If you find yourself fantasizing/attracted to women you may want to experiment. Just do it with someone who is 1) attractive to you 2) trustworthy if you figure out it's not what you want.
