Id have to say yes, but it all depends on how you look at it, maybe he went in with a punch and then just backed away to see his opponent that's all. He was still standing there.

actually that punched was actually hard yes it took Collins down but how could Knicks team mate not try a punch at him then trying to run into him like a stupid bull .... Melo didn't want to do something too crazy or it could reck his pride of basketball, fans, friends and family and he wasn't even thinking but this time he will you can shut up about this incident !

I lost tons of respect for Melo when he punched Collins, and lost even more when he ran away like a wussy.

naa he isnt a wuss.he didn't want to get suspended even more for punching someone else. i think after he hit collins, he knew just kissed away his chance of making the all star game. he reacted on emotions and didnt use his brains until he ran away. and its gonna cost him millions of dollars in endorsement deals..,. he would be a wuss if its streetball nothin at stake. but now he forsure is gonna lose any endorsement deal. if anything it was dumb as hell! but DAMN he knocked him OUT lol
