When a ball is last touched by an opposition team and passes over the white line, the ones in line with the goals it is a goal kick. The 6 yard box is designed for the keeper to take the goal kick. If the ball is kicked out on the right hand side of the post, the keeper takes the goal kick on that corner of the 6 yard box.
